Springfield Symphony Orchestra performs show for students

Thousands of students from across the Pioneer Valley and Connecticut enjoyed a show Tuesday at Springfield Symphony Hall.

Tuesday’s program was specially designed for the students that came to the show.

There were also two students who got to perform with the orchestra.

Kevin Rhodes, music director and conductor of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, told 22News, “And so it’s just to sort of introduce the kids to the world of orchestra, to the world of classical music, and have a fun time with it here in the beautiful Symphony Hall of Springfield.”

22News Storm Team Meteorologist Brian Lapis narrated the piece “Peter and the Wolf” at Tuesday’s concert.
