It was coffee and politics for dozens of Springfield Regional Chamber members Wednesday morning.
Following the results of Tuesday’s election, Political Consultant Tony Cignoli held a ‘morning after the midterms election’ analysis.
The Rise and Shine Business Breakfast took place at the Sheraton in downtown Springfield. Cignoli’s discussion focused on how the results will impact all of western Massachusetts.
“Congressman Richard Neal will most likely be the chairman of ways and means,” said Cignoli. “And Congressman Jim McGovern, people kinda forget about here in the 413 but he’s right next door and represents some of the 413 and a lot of the 508. He is the ranking member on the rules committee and he will probably become chairman there.”
Cignoli also told 22News that he expects to see the Baker Administration in western Massachusetts more, pushing infrastructure and business development.
