State Senator Don Humason hosts pancake breakfast at new location

News

It’s been 20 years since State Senator Don Humason of Westfield began the tradition of inviting all western Massachusetts state legislators for a pancake breakfast.

But since their longtime venue, Pomeroy’s Sugar House, no longer serves breakfast, Humason hosted the event at Santorini restaurant near Barnes Air National Guard Base.

Humason told 22News that these annual gatherings are very meaningful.

“It’s team building,” Humason said. “It’s really a chance for us in the western Mass. group to to build our own team to work together across party lines so we can represent the needs of western Massachusetts better in Boston.”

Senator Humason remarked about the recent passing of State representative Peter Kocot, the Hampshire District state representative who attended every legislative breakfast since they began 20 years ago.
