SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Benjamin Swan is hoping his son will win the legislative seat he’s leaving after 22 years.
The elder Swan was next to Benjamin Swan Jr. Thursday night as he hosted a “campaign kickoff” event to represent the 11th Hampden District.
A life-long Springfield resident, Ben Swan Jr. told 22News he’s concerned about the community where his children are growing up. He emphasized that he’s much more than just Ben Swan’s son.
“I’ve got over 30 years’ experience in the private sector in design and I.T., and then I’ve got a wealth of community experience as a volunteer,” said Swan Jr.
Swan Jr. is 1 of 5 candidates hoping to succeed Swan Sr. in the Massachusetts House.
