The United Arc holds open house for parents of people with disabilities

A western Massachusetts agency that assists families who have disabled children has reached out to hopefully serve more clients in need.

The United Arc held an open house at it’s Holyoke office on Friday to showcase the agency’s Positive Parenting program.

Appreciative parents who’ve received help from United Arc accepted the invitation to help get the word out.

Client Irene Messier told 22News that the program helps families in crisis with children who have physical or developmental disabilities.

“My kids were taken away in 2016,” Messier explained. “And I had an aide through these wonderful people. She has helped me and my family out incredibly.”

United Arc is based in Greenfield and has been serving families since the 1960s.
