Thousands turn out for Chicopee’s Halloween Spooktacular

Thousands turned out for Wednesday night’s “Chicopee Halloween Spooktacular.”

Springfield Street was closed off to traffic, and kids and parents lined up around the block, waiting to take trip down “trick-or-treat street.”

There was a costume contest, and kids could take a ride on the roaming railroad train.

One trick-or-treater who waited with her family for the Spooktacular to start, Emily Fleury of Chicopee, said she had plenty of time to take everything in. She told 22News, “The trick or treating, the candy, the cookies, the hot dogs, and the train ride.”

There was plenty of candy, cider donuts, and hot dogs to go around.
