The Springfield Thunderbirds shut out the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 5-0 Friday night, for the first of two games at the MassMutual Center this holiday weekend.
The Thunderbirds have now beat the Sound Tigers five times at home this season.
Saturday night, the Thunderbirds host the Utica Comets for Pucks N’ Paws night.
U.S. Women’s Olympic Hockey Gold Medalist and Westfield native Kacey Bellamy will be in attendance.
A meet and greet will be held at 6 p.m.
