The Hispanic-American Library hosts Cinco de Mayo fundraiser in Springfield

The fundraiser helps bring awareness to the local Hispanic community. 

The event was at the Biergarten on Main Street in Springfield. 

The Hispanic-American Library was designed to create conditions of economic and social progress. 

President of the Hispanic-American Library, Juan Falcun told 22News, “We’re trying to create an education component, showing that the Hispanic community has educational services as well as cultural awarness.”

Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that celebrates the date of the Mexican Army’s 1862 victory over France.
