Westfield approves bond recommendation to upgrade city’s water filtration system

The City of Westfield is in the process of  approving a $13 million bond that will upgrade the city’s water filtration system.

The Westfield City Council approved the bond recommendation, but further approval is still needed.

This comes after the city filed a lawsuit against manufacturers of firefighting foam that’s believed to have contaminated the city’s drinking water.

Westfield Resident’s Advocating For Themselves are upset that Westfield residents may have to pay for some of these water upgrades.
