I-90 Westbound lanes reopened after tractor trailer fire in Westfield

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – I-90 westbound in Westfield was down to one lane of travel following a tractor trailer fire.

According to Massachusetts State Police, the fire was put out around 2:30 p.m., but the cleanup was still underway. The driver of the tractor-trailer was able to get out with no injuries reported, police say.

State Police in Westfield told 22News officials from the Massachusetts Environmental Police were at the location where the car caught fire looking into it.

Our 22News Traffic Map indicated heavy traffic on the Mass Pike from Blandford to Westfield during the accident.
