Some road work might slow your commute this week between Amherst, Hadley, and Northampton.
Crews will be installing a traffic crossing signal on Route 9 this week.
Starting Tuesday, and running until Friday afternoon, expect to run into lane closures on Route 9 at the intersection with Route 47.
One lane will be closed on each side of Route 9 from South Maple Street to the Amherst town line due to curb setting and excavation operations.
MassDOT said the work starts at 7 a.m. Tuesday until 3:30 p.m. Friday.
