A single-car accident closed a section of Loudville Road in Easthampton for hours.
Easthampton Police were called to an accident at 88 Loudville Road after a car crashed into a utility pole, Saturday afternoon.
The road was closed between West and Torrey streets while utility crew members worked to replace the telephone pole.
Easthampton Police Chief Bob Alberti told 22News, the single occupant of the car is a man in his early 20s.
He was taken to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries.
The road is now open.
