Traffic

A warning to drivers….drive sober or get pulled over.

The Northampton Police Department is joining more than 200 local police departments across the state and country trying to curb impaired driving.

During the “Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over Campaign” police officers will be stationed in high traffic areas, looking for impaired drivers.

The mission of the campaign is to reduce the number of people driving under the influence.

Nearly 4,000 people were killed in alcohol related crashes in the U.S. in 2016.
