Section of Center Street in Ludlow down to one lane for paving

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – Police in Ludlow are encouraging drivers to avoid a section of Center Street starting Wednesday morning due to paving.

According to the Ludlow Police Department, Center Street in the area of Exit 7 off the Mass Pike will be down to one lane from Wednesday to Friday while crews work.

Police are expecting significant traffic delays and are encouraging people to avoid the area if possible.

“With that in mind, I would suggest that they seek alternative routes if possible,” said Michael Brennan of the Ludlow Police Department. “I understand it’s not always possible. So if that’s the case, you’re going to have to plan accordingly that there will be delays.”

The Ludlow Police posted on Facebook, alternate route options are:

Fuller Street to Chapin Street or Fuller to Cherry. You also can take East Street to Chapin Street.
