Staying safe on the road during heavy rain

All this forecasted rain might make for a messy morning commute for drivers.

This rain is what’s left over from what was once Hurricane Florence. The heavy rain expected Tuesday can make for wet and dangerous road conditions.

Triple A is reminding people to drive with the conditions in mind, keep a safe following distance, don’t use cruise control and always have your headlights on if your wipers are on.

Also never drive on a flooded road.

And as we always say, turn around, don’t drown. You can’t tell how deep that water is, or what might be under the surface.
