WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Westfield Police Captain Michael McCabe re-confirmed Friday that there was no criminal investigation into Thursday’s discovery of a woman’s body in a car, in the Westfield Walmart parking lot.
“There was no suspicious cause, and this was not an opiate death,” Capt. McCabe told 22News. He identified the deceased woman as 39-year-old Jill Wetherell of Agawam.
Capt. McCabe said he was making Wetherell’s identity public, in part, because he had received a call from a worried relative from out of state.
He said there was no investigation under way.
