A woman’s body was found near the Connecticut River in Northampton Thursday morning.

Northwestern District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Mary Carey told 22News the identity of the woman whose body was discovered by police in Northampton Thursday is 46-year-old Holly M. Bell of East Longmeadow. Her death is not being investigated as suspicious.

Carey said the body was recovered in the area of Elwell State Park.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine how the woman died, while Northampton and state police look into what led up to her death.
