Woman killed in Huntington accident identified


Massachusetts State Police say a Melinda Carriveau, 39, from Montgomery was ejected and killed in a car accident in Huntington.

Route 112 in Huntington was closed near the Worthington town line in both directions before 8 p.m. Wednesday night until just after 11 p.m.

According to a news release sent to 22News, a 2000 Ford F250 pickup was driven by a 42-year-old Montgomery man, drove off the north side of the road, over a guardrail and into the woods. The crash trapped the driver in the pickup and the ejected the passenger, Melinda Carriveau.

The driver was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield with serious injuries.
