DEERFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Deerfield Firefighters were called to Keets Road, Friday evening, after a fire started inside one of the train cars.

Deerfield Fire Chief Chester Yazwinski told 22News that wood inside the car caught fire, and the train engine stopped working, forcing the train to park near Keets Road.

The train was removed from the tracks, Chief Yazwinski said, and placed on the north side near the Beaver Pond, in case the fire reignited and the firefighters needed water.

Chief Yazwinski said a firefighter over heated while trying to put out the fire, but is expected to be okay. No one was hurt.
