Backwards Break-In: Bear sneaks into zoo

Pocatello’s Zoo Idaho had an unexpected guest Tuesday: a wild bear.

The 120 pound black bear was first spotted high in a tree next to the zoo’s black bear exhibit.

“It really measures high on the irony scale that we have a wild bear at Zoo Idaho that actually worked his way and came into this zoo,” said Jennifer Jackson of Idaho Fish and Game.

The bear was eventually tranquilized, tagged and removed.

“He’s going off to a much better location where he can actually be a bear and hopefully not have to be in conflict with anyone,” Jackson said.
