A Clemson University homecoming party was cut short by tragedy over the weekend when the floor of an off campus clubhouse collapsed.
“Everybody started dancing and people started jumping and we just, boom,” said Franzie Pendergrass, one of the people at the party.
Thirty people were treated for injuries at local hospitals, but authorities say none of the injuries are considered life threatening.
According to Clemson Police Department Chief, Jimmy Dixon, “It could have been a whole lot worse. There could have been entrapments. There could have been deaths involved.”
