Costume Scare: Live ammo on campus

Police at the University of Central Florida say a student wearing a Halloween costume that included real ammunition prompted a police response on campus Tuesday.

 Officers were called after receiving reports of a suspicious person.

 They found a man wearing a long leather coat and a bandolier loaded with live ammunition.

 When questioned, the man said he was wearing a “Terminator” Halloween costume.

 UCF Police Chief Carl Metzger says it’s not illegal to have live ammo on campus, but he is alarmed that only one person called it in.
