(WTNH) – It’s National Cat Day! The feline celebration falls on October 29 every year.
According to NationalCatDay.com, the holiday was founded by Colleen Paige, an animal welfare advocate who also founded National Dog Day (Aug. 26) , National Puppy Day (March 23), and National Pet Day (April 11).
She says the purpose of the holiday is to encourage adopting cats from local shelters, but the holiday is also a great opportunity for the cat people of the world to flood the internet with cuteness.
