Panther kills pony

A Naples, Florida family is in mourning following the death of their beloved pet pony, and they say a panther attack is to blame.

 A panther attacked and killed the pony, named Maximus, last Friday morning.

 According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation, this is the 25th time a panther attacked a domestic animal in Collier County this year.

 The owner, Courtney Stehling, said she bought the charismatic pony about two months ago.

 “As soon as I seen him, I knew it was a panther,” said Stehling. “The biologist got down there, and he said that he could see where the panther got him in the neck and suffocated him,” she continued.
