(NEWS10) – Twitter is urging all users to change their passwords immediately.

The social network says it identified a bug that decrypted passwords in an internal log. Twitter uses a masking process that can validate your account credentials without revealing your password.

The bug wrote the password before it could be encrypted.

Out of abundance of caution, Twitter is advising that users change their passwords on all services where you’ve used the password.

Twitter says its investigation found no indication of a breath or misuse by anyone.

You can change your Twitter password anytime by going to the password settings page.

Learn more about the bug.
