An Iowa woman who dropped her cell phone from a plane some 800 feet in the air was able to relocate it by going door-to-door.
Donna Johnson and Sarvinder Neberhaus were riding in a vintage biplane in Ames Tuesday, when Neberhaus dropped her phone while trying to take pictures.
When the plane landed, she drove to a street on the east side of Ames, where the Find My iPhone app indicated her phone would be.
Neberhaus knocked on a couple of doors, and borrowed several phones to try calling her own.
She then followed the sound of an alarm going off, and eventually found her phone, face-up in tall grass.
