Patriots fans excited to face Chiefs after win over LA Chargers

NFL New England

The Patriots are now advancing to the AFC Championship game.

The Patriots dominated and came out on top once again in the AFC Divisional Round game. The Pats beat the Chargers 41 to 28.

The Patriots controlled the entire game starting with the first drive. Running back Sony Michel scored to put the Patriots on top early. He later added two more touchdowns and finished with 24 carries for 124 yards.

Being five-time Super Bowl champions, Patriot fans expect the team to win every game and Sunday was no different.

Ryan Daigle, from Merrimac, told 22News, “Everybody out here loves the Pats it’s a way of life growing up especially for my age. I grew up with them always winning. If they lose, we get upset that’s not what we want.”

The Patriots will enjoy this win Sunday night but there’s still much more to accomplish. They are onto the Kansas City Chiefs who are the number one seed. They will have their work cut out for them in the AFC Championship game.

David  Keene traveled from New Hampshire to see the Patriots collect another playoff victory, “It will be a shoot out. I was there for the game against them it’s going to be a good game. Patrick Mahomes is a good quarterback they got a good offense right now. It’s going to be a tough game playing in Kansas City but I think we are going to come away with the new go back to the Super Bowl.”

The Chiefs finished the regular season 12-4. The Patriots won last time they met but the Chiefs are hungry to move on.

They face off next Sunday in Kansas City. Kickoff is at 6:40 p.m.
