The American Canadian Tour announced on Wednesday they will “kickoff” with big money events next summer. The races will pay $5,000 to win in each of the three events. It will kick off on Saturday, June 1 at Autodrome Chaudiere in Quebec for a 150 lap event. It will be the first time in four years that the American Canadian Tour has visited Autodrome Chaudiere.
The tour will then visit for the first of two appearances at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in Thompson, CT on Saturday, June 15 for 75 laps. The tour will close out their 2019 season at the Sunoco World Series next October.
The final event will be held at Star Speedway on Saturday, June 29 for the Summer 150. The last time the American Canadian Tour visited Star Speedway was back in July 2013.
“This is a great way to get the summer of racing started,” ACT managing partner Cris Michaud said in a news release.
“We thought the Summer Showdown Series went well last year, so we were ready to continue it this year. And then it just happened to work out that we were able to schedule three big-money events in the same month! While the name has changed to reflect the updated schedule, we expect the racing to be as exciting as it was last year.”
The American Canadian Tour will kick off their 2019 season at Oxford Plains Speedway on Sunday, April 14.
