Todd Bertrand continued his winning streak on Wednesday night at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park as he won the 25 Lap NEMA Midget feature. Bertrand Motorsports has won the last four NEMA Midgets race at the 5/8 mile oval. as Randy Cabral won back at the Sunoco World Series back in October 2016 and last summer August 2017.

“The car actually got really tight halfway through the race, so I couldn’t run as high of a line as I wanted to in order to keep the momentum. I was trying all different lines,” Bertrand said.

“I knew I had to get to the front as quickly as possible and luckily the car drove away and I made some good moves at the end and kept the nose clean.”

Jim Chambers out of Atkinson, NH finished in second. Cole Carter out of Indianapolis, IN finished third. Paul Scally out of Raynham, MA finished fourth and Ben Seitz out of Bourne, MA rounded out the top 5.

The NEMA Midgets will enjoy a quick break as they will be apart of Wings and Wheels this Saturday at the New London Waterford Speedbowl.
