The Boston Red Sox were at Yankee Stadium Monday night for Game 3 of the ALDS.
After the two teams split the first two games of the ALDS in Boston, the Red Sox and Yankees played Game 3 in New York.
SCORE: Red Sox 16 – Yankees 1, Final
In this one, Nathan Eovaldi started for Boston. Eovaldi faced the Yankees three times since the Red Sox acquired him from the Tampa Bay Rays in July. He has allowed one unearned run over 16 innings.
Red Sox fans say they were confident going into Game 3 Monday night.
“Everyone seems to think the Yankees are going to win but nothing is a sure thing,” said Bill O’Riordan. “The Red Sox need to come back, I think the Yankees are favored. They got the home field advantage but I’m loyal, I think we are going to pull it out.”
Luis Severino pitched for the Yankees.
The Houston Astros lead the Cleveland Indians 2 games to nothing in the other ALDS series.
First pitch was at 7:40 p.m.
