Custom musket and trophy revealed for Full Throttle Weekend at NHMS

LOUDON, NH (WWLP) - Full Throttle Weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway is less than two weeks away. On Wednesday, the speedway revealed the custom Musket, Minuteman trophy along with the tricorn hat for the Musket 250 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race. The race will be the longest race and have the richest purse in NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour history.

The Musket was built over the last three weeks by Edwin Parry from Black Hart Long Arms in Eastford, CT.

“I really enjoy doing something like this,” said Parry in a news release who also designed the custom musket that the Speedway gave to Dale Earnhardt Jr. as a retirement gift in 2017.

“It’s special, and I hope the winner enjoys it very much.”

The race winner of the Musket 250 will take home $25,000 dollars that will include $3,500 dollars of the Whelen winner of the race bonus and $25,000 lap leader bonus award where the leader of the race will get $100 dollars per lap the leader leads.

The Musket 250 will take the green flag at approximately 3:30 p.m. The race will be run in two segments with a break at or near the conclusion of lap 100.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will be racing in the Apple Barrel 125 and the first ever appearance by the NASCAR Pinty Series for the Visit New Hampshire 100.
