Holyoke falls to South Hadley, 28-20


South Hadley and Holyoke was one of the big games on Thanksgiving Day.

It was a close contest that came down to the final minute to decide this one.    

Holyoke and South Hadley squared off at Holyoke High School for a game that was close throughout.

Although this a relatively new rivalry, fans told 22News they enjoy bringing the two communities together.

“It’s the battle of the bridge, we’re next to each other,” said Ethan Ortyl a South Hadley senior. “The games are great, gritty players are giving their all. It’s cold you can just tell everyone’s having a good time it’s a great game.

South Hadley scored the go-ahead touchdown in the 4th that would lead to be the game winner.

The Tigers came out on top in this one 28-20.
