LOUDON, NH- 1980’s rock band Loverboy was the Pre-Race Concert on Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Lead singer Mike Reno talked to the media before the concert on Sunday morning. They have more than 10 million albums sold and have been around for close to four decades. The younger generation is enjoying the rock music from the 1970’s and 80’s. He gave his thought to 22News
” I don’t know where they are finding out about us. It must be the internet. That must be it huh because everybody is plugged into the internet these days including myself. I think they must go to the internet and watch these things and come. Not only do they come, they know all the words and they wear the same outfits like us and they look up and go I got the headband dude and there like 20 years old. I just think its awesome.” Said Reno
Reno believes that the younger audience likes the energy and the positive lyrics.
” Nowadays it’s nice to be energized and it’s nice to be happy right. I think our concerts tend to make people enjoy themselves than really get all down and weird.” Said Reno
Loverboy has had hits including ” Everybody works for the weekend” along with ” Turn Me Loose and ” Hot Girls”.
