New England Patriots

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WWLP) – The New England Patriots defeated the Buffalo Bills in a Saturday AFC East divisional match-up.

The Patriots had won the last six meetings against the Bills and looked to clinch the AFC East title for the 11th consecutive season with a win.

With Saturday’s victory and a win next week against the Dolphins, the Patriots would secure the division title and home field advantage as the 2 seed in the AFC playoffs.

One fan told 22News, the importance of getting that home field advantage.

“It’s huge playing at home, Pats fans are the best fans and we just catapult them into victory,” said Abby Gallivin of Maynard. “Playing on the road will be tough but the next ring is still the best ring.”

The Patriots play the Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium Sunday, December 29. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
