With five Super Bowl victories, winning has become an expectation in Foxborough.
That expectation was met Sunday afternoon as the New England Patriots are now one step further on to a 6th Super Bowl Championship.
The Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 41-28 Sunday in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs. The New England team is now heading to the AFC Championship for an eighth consecutive season.
Though the Pats have been the premier team in the NFL for the past decade there was a sense of uncertainty going into Sunday’s game against LA.
The Patriots ended the regular season with an 11-5 record but proved their still one of the league’s best. Although much of the team’s success comes from the leadership of Tom Brady, it was the Patriots running backs that lead them to victory.
Final Score: New England Patriots 41, Los Angeles Chargers 28
