CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s Sunday Night football and the New England Patriots faced off against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Patriots traveled to CenturyLink Field in Seattle for a matchup that featured two of the NFL’s best running quarterbacks in Cam Newton and Russell Wilson.

Patriots Coach Bill Belicheck has previously stated that he doesn’t see anyone better than Wilson in the league right now. So Sunday night’s game will be a good test for the Patriots, especially since they are a newer team this year with quarterback Cam Newton.

In the first quarter, Devin McCourty ran 43 yards with an interception return for a touchdown with just under 14 minutes to go. The Seahawks responded with a touchdown by Tyler Lockett to tie up the game.

In the second quarter, Newton rushed for one yard to bring the Pats up 14-7 but Seattle came back quickly ending the second quarter tied at 14-14.

Five minutes into the 3rd quarter, Patriots kicker Nick Folk made a 25-yard field goal putting the Pats up 17-14. At the end of the quarter the Seahawks were leading the Patriots 28-17.

The game came down to the last three seconds of the 4th quarter but the Seahawks took home the win with a final score of 35-30.

The Patriots will play the Las Vegas Raiders next Sunday, September 27. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
