Downtown Springfield has a new piece of art tattooed on its streets.
The Springfield Thunderbirds logo was painted at the intersection of Main Street and Boland Way Sunday.
Thunderbird’s media manager, Ryan Smith, sent 22News this incredible time-lapse video of the logo installation.
The Springfield City Council gave the “ok” for the Thunderbirds hockey team to paint their logo downtown back in September.
The team had initially hoped to have the logo painted by their October season opener.
