Vikings host NFL’s first LGBTQ summit


The Minnesota Vikings is the first NFL franchise to host a large-scale summit focused on the inclusion of LGBTQ athletes in sports. 

 More than 200 people gathered at the summit in Eagan, Minnesota Thursday. 

 It was the idea of former Vikings punter Chris Kluwe, after he accused the team of firing him over his outspoken support of gay marriage and the LGBTQ community. 

 To avoid a lawsuit, the two sides came to an agreement that included several stipulations, including the summit.
