Westfield comes out on top, beating Minnechaug 27-8

It was senior day in Westfield Thursday for the rivalry game between Westfield High School and Minnechaug.

The Bombers came out on top, beating Minnechaug 27-8.

The game was originally scheduled to be played at Westfield High School’s Bullens Field, but had to be moved to Westfield State.

The team managers told 22News why the game was moved, “The field conditions were really bad so they just moved it here because they didn’t want anybody to get hurt,” said Rebecca Osowski.

Many fans braved the cold to cheer on the players.
