BRUSSELS, Belgium (APTN) – Metro lines in Brussels that had been closed since Tuesday’s suicide bomb attacks reopened this weekend.

The Maalbeek station, scene of one of the bomb attacks, remains closed.

Trains were not stopping on the key east-west lines passing through that station today.

Outside the station, a flower memorial has been set up in honor of the victims.

The bombings exposed authorities’ failures to prevent violence despite heightened concerns since the Paris attacks, which were plotted from Belgium.
