SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WWLP) — A wind advisory for gusts up to 50 miles per hour is in effect from 5 p.m. Monday into 8 a.m. Tuesday for Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin counties.
This is easily strong enough to lead to downed trees, tree limbs, and scattered debris on roads. This also creates a risk for scattered power outages.
Winds will strengthen as rain and thunderstorms wind down across western Massachusetts Monday.
The worst of the wind ends Tuesday morning, but we’ll still be pretty breezy through Tuesday afternoon.
