Hot and humid weather making a comeback this weekend

It’s going to be a warm weekend, with temperatures expected to inch towards 90 degrees by Sunday afternoon.

It’s been relatively mild since our six-day heat wave but look for mid to upper 80’s Saturday and Sunday.

The CDC recommends saving your outdoor activities for the early morning or evening hours to keep from overheating.

Water is essential to staying healthy and keeping cool.

“Mostly just swimming, hang out at the beach,” said Edgar Rapalo of Springfield. “Sunblock, definitely bug spray. Definitely drinking more water.”

If you’re planning to attend the airshow at Westover this weekend, coolers are only allowed for things like medicine or baby formula, but small umbrellas are allowed if you’d like to bring a little shade.
