Many of us woke up to a dusting of snow Wednesday morning but not only did it look like winter it also felt like it too.
Temperatures were only in the 30s but the wind chill made it feel like it was only in the teens and 20s.
Some people didn’t mind the winter preview. “If it weren’t so windy I’d think it’s wonderful. I was impressed this morning with the little bit of dust of snow we had, it makes it feel very wonderful,” said Mary Odato of Ludlow.
The winds were a problem, gusting over 40 mph at times and that did knock some trees and branches down.
A large tree came down on High Street in West Springfield hitting a home and destroying a car that was parked in the driveway.
“I came back from vacation and found a tree on my house… 4 years ago I had another one fall on the other side of my house,” said Andrew Vardakis of West Springfield.
On Circuit Avenue in West Springfield a transformer came down causing a small fire.
