NORTHFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) Gulf Road in Northfield was shut down on Sunday due to ice.

Gulf Road has been reopened, but Northfield Police are urging drivers to use caution.

Chicopee Police said they responded to three crashes in one hour due to the snow. The department also said they responded to several cars that could not make it up hills. The Huntington Fire Department urging drivers not to go out on the roads unless it is necessary.

In Orange, Oxbow road is closed to Temple Street due to a pole that fell. The road is so icy the crews called to the incident are walking to the scene.

The Amherst Police Department has been called to multiple car crashes over the town and cautioned drivers while travel is difficult, asking drivers to please stay home if possible.

On I90 in Stockbridge, MassDOT is reporting a tractor trailer crash into a guardrail.
