CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The 22News Storm Team has issued a Weather Alert for a wintry mix Wednesday morning that could create slick travel.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Berkshire County, western Hampden, Hampshire, and all of Franklin County until 10 a.m. Wednesday for snow, sleet, and rain.

Snowfall Forecast

Wet snow developed late Tuesday night that has changed over to a wintry mix of sleet, freezing rain, and rain. Rain continues in the Pioneer Valley Wednesday morning with freezing rain in the hills. Everyone will change over to pure rain after 7 a.m.

Rain will end going into the late Wednesday morning and afternoon. We will stay partly cloudy into the evening. Can’t rule out the chance of a few peaks of sun. High temperatures in the 40s.
