There is an increased risk for brush fires on Wednesday.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid to upper 80s by Wednesday afternoon, and with the sun, the breeze, and dry air, brush fire danger will be relatively high.
Wind not only dries things out, but it helps any brush fires spread if they start.
Plants also haven’t greened up yet, and trees haven’t budded. The greening up and budding draws moisture from the ground up into the plants/trees and makes them less at risk for fires.
Thursday is expected to be more humid.
