SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – People have been busy preparing for another winter storm to hit Western Massachusetts Tuesday.
It’s been a pretty mild winter here in western Massachusetts. We’ve only seen about 19 inches of snow compared to our usual 31 inches by this time of the year.
But, a storm is Tuesday, and we have a chance for significant snow, sleet or ice.

Local hardware stores have stocked their shelves with the items people will need to move and melt the snow.
Driving on I-91 and I-391 Tuesday morning, our 22News crews did notice that the roads have already been treated with salt.
But still, roads are likely to be pretty slippery and messy Tuesday afternoon because of the coming snow, so give youself extra time to get to get where you need to go. You can track road and traffic conditions with the 22News Live Traffic Map.
