SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Local residents will have some snow on the way for later this week, and it could bring several inches to western Massachusetts.
The snowstorm could affect Tuesday's evening commute, which is why MassDOT suggests taking it slow on the roads, especially with sleet and freezing rain in the forecast.
Also, remember to clear snow and ice from all car windows and lights, and leave plenty of room for stopping.
Springfield resident Derrick Atkins told 22News, he won't be going outdoors. "I'm going to be in the house. So everybody that's watching, you guys should do the same. Tuesday we got a big storm coming, don't be out here in this mess."
Atkins told 22News, you never know when it comes to New England weather, we could see quite a bit of snow.
