Parking bans for western Mass. winter storm

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Several cities and towns across western Massachusetts have put parking bans in effect for Thursday’s winter weather.

ADAMS

A Winter Storm Emergency has been declared in Adams starting at 12 a.m. on Friday and continuing through 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 17. During that Winter Storm Emergency, there is no parking on any street or parking lot in Adams including municipal parking lots.

BLANDFORD

No on-street parking in Blandford until further notice.

EASTHAMPTON

No on street parking in Easthampton from 3p.m. on Friday to 7a.m. on Saturday.

MONTGOMERY

No one street parking starting at 12:00 a.m. Friday until 12:00 p.m. Saturday.

RUSSEL

No one street parking starting at 12:00 a.m. Friday. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday.

PITTSFIELD

Between 7:00 p.m. Thursday to 7:00 p.m. Friday, parking is allowed on the odd side of the street. Between 7:00 p.m. Friday to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, parking is allowed on the even side of the street. Residents around downtown Pittsfield are encouraged to use the McKay Street parking garage during the duration of the emergency. Beginning at 4:00 p.m. Thursday the garage will be available for free overnight parking.
