Summer arrived early this season. 22News found out if Wednesday’s warm weather paid off for local businesses.
If you have been waiting for the summer heat, Wednesday was a day to take full advantage of.
The start if May is feeling like the start of summer. 70s and 80s are in the forecast for the valley for the next couple of days. Putting western Massachusetts close to 20 degrees above average some days.
Usually western Massachusetts doesn’t feel the 80s until June, the last time we felt the 80s was back in October of last year.
22News talked with the Northampton Brewery who opened up their outdoor patio for the week because of the warmer weather. Montana Strossi, Manager of the Northampton Brewery, told 22News, “Typically we pick a hard date and stick to it regardless what mother nature has in store for us. So this year we did bump it back for the first time ever and that was because of the freak snow.”
Summer officially starts June 21st.
